TEAM WORK!!

Photobucket

Here is the image of the creations we made in the Dots class, there are a lot of figures with meanings tht each one of us gave.
As a team we had to create wether a painting or sculpture during the class, we gave each integrant a task to do in order to have the material we were going to use.
We sat on the floor in a circle and started making our figures while some ideas came into our minds so we could continue developing our creations.
We worked in a peaceful way, each one was concentrated in their job and if somebody needed help, the team was willing to give it.
We liked our works because they were different, they were made with effort, creativity and inspiration :)
We had a good time that also was for relaxing ourselves and be in contact with the nature.

Reality into art.

The artists transform the reality of what they see into art with creativity because they try to find a good way by which they can expressed those images that for them are important to share with the world. There are many ways of expressing ideas that you have in your mind and want to be transmited such as: Painting, sculpture, music, cinema, literature, etc.
Each artist choose the one that he or she thinks is the best to transmit thinkings, ideals, images, situations, etc.,and that the people could perceive in the same or similar way of them.

FRIDA KAHLO

( 1907-1954)

BIOGRAPHY

Born Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón on July 6, 1907, in Coyoacán, Mexico. Considered one of Mexico's greatest artists, she began painting at the age of 18 after she was severely injured in a bus accident in September 1925. Her injuries included a broken spinal column, collarbone, pelvis, and more. Though she recovered from the injuries and eventually regained her ability to walk, she remained in extreme pain for the rest of her life.

While attending the National Preparatory School, Frida Kahlo met the artist Diego Rivera. He encouraged her art and she later married him in 1929. The couple had a tumultuous relationship and both she and Rivera had numerous extramarital affairs.

Her work, fantastical and imaginative and yet deeply personal, consisted of many self-portraits. Kahlo's love of animals, her despair over a miscarriage, and other parts of her life and personality found their way to her canvases. By the end of the 1930s, Kahlo was beginning to be recognized for her own talents, not just as the wife of a famed muralist. She had solo exhibits in Paris and New York City. Despite battling pain and health problems most of her life, Kahlo continued to paint and share her love of art with others until her death. She died on July 13, 1954.

Since her death, Frida Kahlo has become an internationally known artist, and her work has been featured in numerous exhibits. Her life was the subject of a 2002 film entitled Frida, starring Salma Hayek.

"Abrazo Amroso"

I really like Frida Kahlo because I think she is a very good example of a creative mexican, I admire her because of her way of seeing and painting the reality, although she suffered a lot, she was and is nowaddays an important character in the history of our country.
I think her works have a deep meaning and they are very colorful, thing that I liked so much, and also she made a lot of paintings during her life.
I believe that if she had not suffered the bad things that happened to her, she could not represent her life in that real and creative way of painting that know are recognized in all the world and I am proud of her because I think she also had a strong way of living and personality but in the interior she was a very lovely woman.

Being mexican!

I love being mexican because i've realised that we are unique, we have a good sense of humor and we give help to other people.
Living in a country like Mexico is so nice because we can enjoy great landscapes, delicious food and a good way of living.
We are rich in flora and fauna, we have the best seashores and the best people!!!
Also I think we are not as bad as the media shows us because they only tell the horribles things we are living but they don't see and consider the good things we have as a country and that not all the countries are available to have.

The mexicans are creative because we have lived a lot of facts that make us more intelligent and skilled to create things or come up with an idea. Also the awesome landscaope we have, inspired ourselves.

I'm very proud of being a mexican girl :) :)

CELESTIAL SPHERE

I chosed this sculpture because I think is really nice and it shows the 4 sides (continents) in the world, so for me that's very creative and it is a well done sculpture made by Carpaux.
It's a good and original form of representing the world :)
